Not All R.E.M.

That's one that confuses people, and perhaps rightly so, an R.E.M. tribute band that plays songs by other artists.

Throughout their 31 year history, R.E.M. played a lot of covers, and they appear everywhere, concerts, albums, b sides... there are whole internet pages dedicated to the subject. Some covers were as obscure as possible, but many artists are household names, The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, U2, Iggy Pop, Neil Young and David Bowie, to name but a few.

Understanding that not everybody loves R.E.M. with quite the same passion we do, we decided to incorporate some of these covers into our set, to bridge the gap to audiences yet to be convinced, and to make our shows as authentic as possible.  Hence the billing "the music and influences of R.E.M......"

Check out our "Audio" page for examples of these, or check out the video below of "Peace, Love & Understanding" by Elvis Costello, which REM played with Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty and many others at the Vote For Change finale in Washington D.C.
